Origin of the Idea

Shape-Me Bike was born from a simple question: why does a bike, one of the most popular training and transportation devices, primarily exercise only the legs? Daily riding could also become a workout for the upper body.

An important starting point was the common problems of our times: long hours spent sitting, back pain, muscle weakness, and a lack of natural activity. More and more people were looking for ways to strengthen their bodies and care for a healthy spine, all while not needing extra time for additional workouts. Shape-Me Bike was created as an answer to these needs.

Project work and initial prototypes

The first sketches and concepts for the mechanism were developed in 2022. Shortly thereafter, the ENSAVID team built the first prototype, which allowed them to test in practice how the drive system utilizing hip and arm movements worked. Subsequent versions were refined in terms of ergonomics, stability, and smoothness of operation. The final model combines comfort, safety, and full activation of the upper body.

Participation in trade shows and first public presentations

The Shape-Me Bike was first unveiled to the general public at the BIKE EXPO bicycle trade show held at the National Stadium in Warsaw in 2025. Visitors had the opportunity to see and test the unique mechanism. The interest and positive feedback confirmed the project’s enormous potential.

Media interest

Following its initial presentations, Shape-Me Bike quickly caught the attention of the media and tech websites. One of the world’s leading design magazines—DESIGNBOOM—featured our innovation, demonstrating that a Polish design can inspire not only cycling enthusiasts but also the tech community and the world of design.

Partnership with MOKO Frameworks

The next step was a collaboration with the Warsaw-based MOKO Frameworks workshop—a studio known for building top-quality custom frames, which has been involved in the project since the prototype stage. As a result, the Shape-Me Bike frame combines innovative design with precise, handcrafted workmanship.

Patent process

The unique drive mechanism of the Shape-Me Bike has been filed for patent protection in Poland and under the international PCT procedure. In 2025, the design received a preliminary positive assessment from the Polish Patent Office and the International Searching Authority, confirming its patentability.

Next steps

Today, the Shape-Me Bike is ready to go into production. The first batch of bikes will be available starting in early 2026. This is the result of years of work, testing, and refinement—but it’s also just the beginning of our journey. Ahead of us lies community growth, international expansion, and the introduction of a new category of bikes to the global market.
